The Short Version
The Basic Hub (thebasichub.com) is a plain-English guide site. We keep data collection to the minimum that keeps the site working.
What We Collect
- Nothing personal by default. You can read every article without an account, without cookies for tracking, and without giving us your name.
- Standard server logs. Like almost every site, our hosting provider sees the usual technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. We do not use it to build profiles.
- If you subscribe to the newsletter, we keep the email address you gave us, and only that. You can unsubscribe at any time and the address is removed.
- If you contact us, we keep the conversation long enough to answer it, then delete it.
What We Do Not Do
- No advertising trackers.
- No selling or renting of personal data - there is none to sell, and we would not sell it anyway.
- No “personalization” that follows you around other sites.
The Newsletter
When you subscribe, we use a mailing provider to send it. Your address stays with them and us for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter. Unsubscribe links are in every email.
