Not every guide suits every reader on the same day. A guide that assumes you already know what a subdomain is will lose you if you have never opened your router settings. A guide that starts by explaining where the power button is wastes the time of someone who has been running their own network for years.

So every guide on this site carries a level.

Beginner. We assume nothing except that you are curious. Every technical term is explained where it first appears.

Intermediate. You have done the basic things. You can find your router settings, and you are comfortable changing something once someone tells you what it does.

Advanced. You are happy with technical detail, and the guide will not stop to define every term. These are for the reader who wants the whole picture rather than just the first step.
